OZZY OSBOURNE Drummer TOMMY CLUFETOS Interviewed On 'Talking Metal' (Audio)

February 21, 2011

The latest episode of the "Talking Metal" podcast features an interview host Mark Strigl conducted with drummer Tommy Clufetos (OZZY OSBOURNE, ROB ZOMBIE, TED NUGENT, ALICE COOPER). You can now stream the podcast using the audio player below. An excerpt from the chat follows.

Talking Metal: Do you envision Ozzy doing another album at some point within the next few years?

Tommy Clufetos: Most definitely. We are already coming up with new ideas backstage, in the hotel rooms and at soundcheck and have a bunch of ideas recorded weather they be small or full songs. We are working on things slowly for the next... whatever it maybe, time will tell what happens with them.

Talking Metal: I always wanted to hear Ozzy return to more of that classic sound that he had with Randy Rhoads on "Blizzard Of Ozz" and the "Diary Of A Madman" record. In the same way that METALLICA have kind of gone back to their roots, Do you think Ozzy would ever consider returning to that early'80s sound on an album?

Tommy Clufetos: I think most definitely, I wouldn't say early '80s but I think he is going to return to a classic rock band record. What he has expressed is that he wants to make it the band playing live in a room so wherever that takes us. Less technology and more amps and drums.
